Woman who married a BRIDGE describes joy over 'strong and sturdy' husband

An Australian woman has relived her 'fairy tale' wedding to her 'handsome, strong and sturdy husband' - who happens to be a bridge in France.

Jodi Rose, originally from Sydney, married Le Pont du Diable - which translates to 'The Devil's Bridge' - on the Tech River in Ceret, southern France in 2013.

She fell in love with the 14th century stone structure while travelling the country, and they became husband and wife during a ceremony attended by 14 guests and blessed by the mayor of neighbouring town Saint-Jean-de-Fos.

Ms Rose said marrying the bridge 'felt beautiful'. 'I was really quite nervous... I felt like a bride. I got to have my princess wedding day,' she told Sunday Night.

She still proudly wears her wedding ring, and a custom, larger version made for the bridge sits wedged on the structure.

'I put a ring on it, baby... I mean you've seen him, he's very handsome, he's strong and sturdy and I thought, yes, this is someone I can really connect with, and who I feel can give me some grounding, Ms Rose said.

Writing on her blog at the time of her wedding, Ms Rose said she had travelled the world while recording a music project involving bridges when she decided Le Pont du Diable was 'The One'.

'He makes me feel connected to the earth and draws me to rest from my endless nomadic wanderings. He is fixed, stable, rooted to the ground, while I am nomadic, transient, ever on the road,' she wrote.

'He gives me a safe haven, brings me back to ground myself, and then lets me go again to follow my own path, without trying to keep me tied down or in thrall to his needs or desires. I am devoted to him.

'He understands that I love other bridges – and men – ours is a love that embraces the vagaries of life, as materialised in the swirling currents of the river that flows beneath his magnificent body.

'The Devil’s Bridge is everything I could desire in a husband – sturdy, trustworthy, sensual, kind and handsome.'

Their marriage is not legally recognised in France but Ms Rose claimed their union was strong.

16 year old girl has committed suicide in Kuching, Sarakwak in Malaysia, after an Instagram poll resulted to majority voting that she dies.

The teenager identified as Davia Emelia‘s body was discovered sprawled on the road on May 13 at around 8pm, according to The Sarawak Tribune.

She is believed to have jumped to her death from a rented unit in Batu Kara New Township. Authorities also found her Instagram poll which she posted prior to her death, Emelia reportedly created the poll at around 3pm on that day.

The poll asked:

“Really important! Help me choose D/L”

“D” and “L” presumably stood for “die” and “live”.

Apparently, 69 percent had voted for “D”.

The Instagram pool was not the only thing found, Davia Emelia also reportedly took to Facebook to say that she was “tired” of life:

“WANNA QUIT (MY) F*CKING LIFE, I’M TIRED.”

According to Sarawak Tribune, both Emelia’s Indonesian mother and father are separated and both have remarried. Her father rarely returned to see her after marrying a Vietnamese woman. Her mother remarried a man with a 15-year-old son.

It is suspected that these events added to the stress of the teenage girl, leading her to commit suicide. Her suicide has been classified as a “sudden death” by authorities, who do not suspect foul play.

A lady shared a story on Facebook of how a woman who was afraid of losing her husband to ‘slay queens’ after he was transfered to Lagos, visited a native doctor who did a charm to make the husband lose erection when with other women.

According to the story, the said husband years later, found out about the charm after several attempts to cheat and has since been threatening to divorce his wife.

Read the post below and see reactions of Nigerians in support and against the woman’s action.

‘Someone is here is begging me to help in the situation, I know the woman in question but someone asked her to come to me that I can talk to the husband. I don’t know how to start begging the man. It’s not a phone something so I have to meet him in person to have a heart to heart discussion with him. Now to the gist.

This woman got married, after one year her husband was transfered to Lagos. They only have a boy of 9months then. She was afraid of loosing her husband to Lagos slay queens. So she decided to do something about it by making her husband never to have erection for any woman except her till both of them die. She told me a friend took her to agulu in anambra state to one native doctor to do it.

They have four kids now but the man have found out what his wife did because he went to cheat with another woman but he couldn’t do anything. I think he had tried severally but didn’t succeed. Maybe he also went to seek solution and found out her wife is responsible.

Now he confronted his wife and He is threatening to divorce his wife.

My question now, is she wrong by trying to protect her marriage in such way?
Is this enough reason to divorce his wife?

Please I need your opinions on this so as to know if I will get some points before I arrange to meet the man.”

A Nigerian man took to popular social media platform to share his experience after seeing two birds fight to death in his compound.

Read his narration below;

Early this morning around 3:26 am, I woke up as a result of a sound on one almond fruit tree beside my window , when I listen very well I discovered it was two birds fighting, initially I didn’t take it serious and I went back to sleep.

Around 6am when I was dressing to go to work, I heard the birds still fighting at the other side of the building and I went there to see, when I get there I saw that it was soo serious that two of them were very weak and not ready to surrender to each other to the extent that if one moved back the other will go and meet it, after few minute I went inside to dress up, and I heard one of the bird fell down from the roof and died as I get outside to see it properly I saw the other walking slowly across the roof and suddenly it also fell and died, it look soo strange cos I don’t know what can happen between common animal that can made them to fight till death.

A Delta Woman identified has Amanda has taking to the streets in Delta State to beg. A Lady who knows her story, shares it thus;

''This morning at Summit junction by Rainoil Petrol Station In Asaba, Delta State, this woman with triplets (newly born) is seen begging for survival and food to feed these triplets. It is pathetic to hear her story. It is not her fault to go into a relationship which she prayed to lead to marriage but alas the man decided to abscond on hearing of the pregnancy and expecting triplets.

Amanda (the lady's name) could have decided to abort these babies but God had other plans and so she put to bed three children (2 boys and a girl).

Amanda could not afford to feed these Children and had resorted to begging on the roadside. These triplets are not more than three months old so one will cry and feel pained at the situation.

My dear friends, my joy would be to see someone come to her aid. These triplets needs better care, needs shelter and who knows they may become the Best triplets to ever emerge from Nigeria.

Amanda is like one of us with good future. Will she suffer setback because of these triplets given to her by God? Please friends and family, reach out to Amanda, let save these kids. Amanda has a Nokia torchlight phone and can be reached on 0810 699 7306.

''Please help me thank this beautiful God. I didn't know that God loves me this much!!!

This happened this morning 7th April 2019.

Don't know if am to jump, dance, lie down on the expressway or cry for joy.

This happened this morning on our way to Lagos.

My colleagues and I wanted taking this very bus from Abuja, but suddenly had a change of mind and joined the next.

I remember a Coper lady asking me why we decided not to join their bus. Which I explained to her that "We just felt like it"

We left few minutes after they drove out,not too far from the pack I told my colleague that... I'm led in the spirit to lead us in some worship & prayer section commiting our journey into God's hands. Shortly after the worship and prayers, it started raining heavily Just after Gwagwalada, that we had to stop. Reaching Ife only to discover that thesame bus that left before ours has been envolved in an accident with Dangote trailer, and No one came out alive (Including the pretty Coper I spoke with at the pack).???

Lord I just can't thank you enough ????"
