Yvonne Jegede’s ex-husband and fellow actor, Abounce Fawole has finally acknowledged the only son the union produced, a baby boy named Xavier publicly.

Yvonne and Abounce got married in February 2017, and welcomed their son in November, 2018. Shortly after their public breakup, rumours went round that they broke up because Abounce denied the paternity of the child.

Now Abounce for the first time has posted about his son on his instagram page, talking about how much he loves him.

''I may not always be with you but I will always be with you. You will be a source of joy, happiness and blessings to your mother and I, bless your beautiful heart son, daddy loves you #lilabounce #lilironmonkey #lilme

Teachers in some basic schools in the Ashanti Region have resorted to writing examination questions on chalkboards following a directive by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to heads of schools not to collect printing fees from the pupils.

Most of the schools have already begun the end of term exams while others have had to reschedule the examination dates.

Some schools also refunded monies they collected from the pupils as printing fees after a meeting with their district directors who asked them to comply with the GES directive.

Some teachers who spoke to Citi News said their hands were tied and had no choice but to write questions on chalkboards.

“It was a warning so we went according to what they said and we started examinations yesterday and we wrote on the chalkboard, according to their directive,” a teacher said.

Some of the teachers have to write over 40 objective questions on boards for the students within a limited amount of time and space.

Another teacher said the whole process was “very hectic.”

“By the time you even finish writing, the time is almost gone. It is very bad… this is not quality education,” he added.

Teacher groups were recently complaining over the government’s delays in releasing Capitation Grants for the 2018/19 academic year.

One of the teachers noted that the government’s inaction had contributed to the current situation.

“Now that the government says we should stop and the government hasn’t provided money to print papers for the students, we are going to write the questions on the board.”

Operatives of the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) have busted a member of a money laundering syndicate in the country.

The suspect, Darwich Hussein, 38, a Lebanese, who was travelling to Beirut, Lebanon, was arrested with $1.4 million and 256,000 euros in his carry-on bag at the KIA in Accra last Monday.

According to the Executive Secretary of the Narcotics Control Board, Mr Francis Torkonoo, the suspect was arrested while going through departure formalities at the KIA.

Upon reaching the NACOB check point, it was realised that Hussein was in a hurry to board the plane with a large carry-on bag, thus arousing the suspicion of the security operatives who demanded to conduct a search on him.

Darwich after his arrest

Mr Torkonoo said when the carry-on bag was opened, it contained some neatly parcelled items covered with three T-shirts.

And when the parcels were subsequently unwrapped, the officers found bundles of dollar and euro bills.

Hussein was, therefore, arrested and taken to the NACOB Headquarters where the money, totalling $1.4 million and 256, 000 euros, was counted.

According to Mr Torkonoo, there was no evidence that the money was declared at the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).

The suspect told investigators that the money belonged to him and that he was the Managing Director of Lamo Industries Limited, fabricators of aluminium profiles and metal forging, which was registered in Ghana in 2013.

He said the company was located at Block G of the Asokwa Industrial Area in Kumasi, but when probed further, he changed the narrative by claiming that the company had collapsed for which reason he decided to sell all his assets and take the money back to his country, Lebanon.

The suspect also alleged that after the company was liquidated, he was employed at R. C. Rema Company Limited where salaries paid to him accumulated to the tune of $1.4 million.

When pressed further, Husein mentioned the name of another Lebanese as the one who gave him the money to be delivered to his business partners in Lebanon.

Cedi depreciation

The NACOB executive secretary said activities by money launderers could be a contributory factor to the recurrent depreciation of the Ghanaian currency and, therefore, reminded businesses and the travelling public that anybody with such large sums of foreign currency had to declare them at the airport.

He said based on activities of money launderers in the country, security agencies had intensified their surveillance on them.

Mr Torkonoo said the suspect would be put before court after investigations.

Last year, the news of actress Juliet Ibrahim and her man Iceberg Slim ending their relationship surfaced online.

Now while Juliet had revealed that they did end things, she added that the singer is a narcissit but that was about it until now.

According to blogger thephenomenal girl, the couple ended things due to Iceberg saving Juliet’s name as grandma on his phone.

Read her post below;
”So these two former lovebirds trended on Instagram that year, their love was one in town, they no dey waste time to dey flaunt their romantic moments at any given opportunity, their PDA was one in town.

Rapper Elom Adablah, better known by his stage name E.L has taken to social media to flaunt bundles of Ghana cedis note at the back of car seat.

Photo below:

EL was in the news recently after he said that Ghanaians are not smart enough to understand Hip-hop music.

He went on to emphasise that this generation of Ghanaian artistes have no business pursuing hip-hop music because the genre has no future in our part of the world, adding “I don’t think hip-hop is our identity as Africans, it’s not.”

The ‘Collect’ hitmaker, made the shocking statement while speaking to host of Drive with the Area Gang show, Elvis Crystal on Pluzz 89.9 on Friday, December 21, 2018 to promote his latest single.

Speaking about his introduction into Ghanaian music as a rapper, EL disclosed that hip-hop has not been very good to him as far as his music career is concerned and described those days with Skillions hip-hop group as “A group of kids playing around with mics following the likes of Jay Z but in hindsight, it was a waste of time.”

The Koko singer, who disclosed that he is done with hip-hop music says he is more mature and self-aware now to understand the importance of self-identity which is why creating Afro-beat music is what makes him truly happy now.

EL also bemoaned how most artistes are doing the same thing lately and proceeded to take a swipe at many of today’s rappers who he describes as unoriginal, making it easy for just about anybody without talent to become a hip-hop artiste. He cited Worlasi as one of the very few artistes creating original music lately.

The Kaalu hit maker added that he isn’t surprised that viral acts like Patapaa and Supa made it big and are regarded as artistes although many have questioned talent. El believes we will see more of such acts because that is what Ghanaians are into.

He however advised that we enlighten ourselves and put more effort into making quality music as being done by our Nigerians neighbours.

“We need to enlighten ourselves more. Nigerians are doing it. Name me one Nigerian artiste who makes music as mediocre as what we have now and actually is recognized, it’s not.”

EL founded his own record label, V.O Nation earlier this year and although the label is yet to be officially launched, the singer and producer assured all music lovers to look out for amazing stuff from the V.O Nation next year.

Willi Roi died in his apartment in Accra on Sunday, February 10, 2019.

According to a source close to the family, Willi Roi was found dead with blood oozing out of his mouth.

He got back from a show around 12 am on Sunday and moved to his apartment.

He had not moved out till in the evening when the security man decided to go check on him only to find out he had died with blood oozing out of his mouth.

One Corner hitmaker, Patapaa is out with a new hairstyle.

He posted photos of it on his social media handles today.

Sharing the photos, he wrote:

Be Yourself and Stay Humble !!! Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. It’s either you run the day, or the day runs you.

In related reports by YEN, Patapaa’s girlfriend, Queen Peezy, has finally confirmed parting ways with the hiplife artiste. According to her, she is no longer interested in the relationship hence her decision to end it. “I no longer care about this issue because I am not interested in the relationship anymore,” Queen Peezy said.

She added: “I have even removed the promise ring on my finger, I am waiting for him to return to tell him my decision. My family supports my decision.” She made this known in an interview with Accra FM on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. Queen Peezy’s decision to end her relationship with Patapaa stems from a recent video circulating on social media portraying Patapaa having an affair with a white lady.

The ‘One Corner’ hit singer stressed that he had found a white woman who has fallen in love with him while embarking on a musical tour in Europe. In the video which he shared on social media, he and his newly-found woman were seen having a good time in the kitchen.

After the video went viral, Queen Peezy reportedly collapsed and was admitted at the hospital. Queen Peezy in an earlier interview admitted that she was still in love with Patapaa.

Shatta Wale who few days ago accused Ghanaian video directors of copying their Nigerian colleagues, has threatened to beat any director that disagrees with him. Recall that we reported that the Ghanaian singer disclosed that Nigerians are far gone and Ghanaians should try to portray their culture a bit.

Shatta Wale who in his tweet told Ghana music video directors to stop copying Nigeria videos, wrote;

Ghana music video directors should stop copying naija videos and be creative cuz Nigerians are far gone ,so let’s try and portray our culture small’s about being creative ..we are too lazy in creating ..Let’s be serious aaahhh ba !!!

However following the backlash he faced, Shatta Wale threatened to beat any Ghanaian video director who disagrees with him on his tweet about copying Nigerians. He wrote in a new tweet;

if any ghana video director come talk say ade lie and i meet am ,ago beat am …lets be serious !!! We are disgracing our country too much …

There’s a new photo of Efia Odo trending on social media.

She’s seen in the photo almost naked. Her full hips were exposed together with her waist beads.

Many have commented saying that she’s beautiful lady but n*ked/semi-nude photos all in the name of being a model is appalling.

Photo below:

I believe in God, not the Bible – Efia Odo

Efia Odo has stated that she believes in God but she does not regard the Bible as any serious book worth attention. According to Efia Odo, the Bible is just a mere storybook.

Efia Odo yesterday went biblical on Twitter and sought to find out who Cain married after killing his brother Abel as stated by the bible.

In the course of the Twitter discussion, Efia Odo made it clear the bible is just storybook with “some faith building scriptures and relatable moments”

When pushed to reveal her position on God, Efia Odo said she believes in God alright but she does not believe in the bible.

Unlike some years ago when it was forbidden in Ghanaian society to question the bible and God, most Ghanaians are now boldly questioning some scriptures in the bible before wholly consuming them.

Majid Michel

According to Punch Metro, unconfirmed reports claimed on Thursday that popular actor, Majid Michel, was flown out of Ghana on a medical trip abroad.

The reports said that Majid, who surprised movie fans a few years ago by announcing that he was quitting acting for a new life as a preacher, was jetting out to undergo throat surgery in an unnamed country.

In 2018, the actor, who is quite popular among movie fans in his home country, Ghana and in Nigeria, reportedly complained about losing his voice, in an interview granted a news medium.

Despite undergoing medical checkups at different hospitals within the past two years, Majid claimed, the doctors had told him there was nothing wrong with his voice.

“I don’t know what is wrong with my voice. I have checked at Korle-bu and 37 Military hospitals and they all said there is nothing wrong with my voice. They have checked my throat and everything is perfect,” he was quoted as saying.

Willi Roi’s one Week Celebration came off successfully as expected having many industry players coming to grace the ‘sad’ event.

Zylofon Media workers, Musicians, Radio Presenters, Bloggers, among other top industry players joined the bereaved family to observe the One Week celebration in a total peace.

Angel Town, Kofi Kinaata, Bessa Simon, Donzy, Opanka, Efe Keyz, Sammy Flex etc. are some few celebrities captured on camera at the event.

Below are the photos obtained from the event:

Actress Yvonne Jegede has shared first photos of her son just weeks after reports that her marriage to rapper Abounce has crashed.

Yvonne Jegede has also been fueling the report of the marriage crash with the kind of posta she makes on social media. Recently, she posted that it’s best for a strong woman to walk away instead of fixing it.

She wrote:

A strong woman will automatically stop trying if she feels unwanted. She won’t fix it or beg, she will just walk away.

She has also being expressing how confident she is no matter the kind of situation she may be in.

‘Confidence isn’t walking into a room with your nose in the air, and thinking you are better than everyone else, it’s walking into a room and not having to compare yourself with anyone else in the first place. Be humble in your confidence yet courageous in your character. If u have no confidence in self, you are twice defeated in the race of life’, Yvonne Jegede wrote

The successful event had hundreds of music lovers gathered to listen to the soothing and good music from the Dancehall king, Samini.

Below are photos from the event:

He was also the first African/Ghanaian Musician to win “Album Of The Year” on Europe’s biggest Reggae Network, this January with the “Untamed” Album.
