The annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019 is being held currently and it is being graced by celebrities all over the country.

Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) is the biggest music night which is honors and celebrates musicians from Ghana who have raised the flag of Ghana high through music.

The event is indeed proving to be a success without any stress.

The Red Carpet would be over soon and the main event would kick start.

Below are some few photos gathered;

The president of the Bhim Nation is not bearing the name of an ‘Ayigbe Mafia’ in vain but for a purpose.

Stonebwoy pulled a pistol on the stage of VGMA to ‘defend’ himself during a feud that ensued between himself and the Shatta Wale and well as their fans.

He walked angrily to a cool corner of the stage before finally removing a pistil to defend himself from the fast approaching SM fans.

Many have however taken to social media to lambast them for throwing Ghana’s only prestigious music award scheme into limbo.

No casualties were recorded however…Al thanks to God….

Police have revealed that, Chris Attoh’s murdered wife, Bettie Jenifer who was gunned down while leaving her office on Friday, was married to two different men simultaneously, one of whom is a convicted Baltimore drug lord, serving a 20-year jail term.

The Greenbelt police in a statement released, describing how the 44-year-old Bettie Jenifer was killed, said that she left her office in the 6300 block of Ivy Lane about 5 p.m. and was walking to her car when a man armed with a handgun approached her.

When she tried to run away, the man followed her and fired multiple rounds. At least one bullet struck her in the head, police said.

The suspect took off in a vehicle. Police described the suspect as black and having a thin build with black hair. He was wearing dark clothing and may have been in a blue car.

Police also confirmed Jenifer was married to Chris Attoh, a well-known actor and TV host in Ghana. At the same time, they said she was also married to 47-year-old Kedrick Jenifer, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for importing large amounts of cocaine into Baltimore from Texas.

The U.S. District Attorney’s Office said the kingpin’s “Jenifer drug trafficking organization” distributed at least 450 kilograms of cocaine in Baltimore and Woodbridge, Virginia.

“Kedrick Jenifer lived large as a major Baltimore drug dealer, but now he will lose all of his toys and live for two decades in federal prison,” U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein said in a news release after his sentencing, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Court records show that Kedrick Jenifer filed for a divorce on April 9. Bettie Jenifer then filed for divorce six days later.

Greenbelt police confirmed Sunday the shooting was targeted and not a random incident. Police have not named a suspect or motive in the case.

Co-workers said Bettie Jenifer worked at a temporary staffing agency on the first floor.

The Ghanaian social media landscape is being thrown in a state of mourning after news came in that the wife of top Ghanaian actor, Chris Attoh was shot dead in Maryland, USA.

The incident is said to have happened on Friday, 10th May 2019.

According to Fox5Dc,  Greenbelt Police say the woman, who has been identified as Bettie Jenifer, 44, of Bowie, was shot in the head in the parking lot of an office complex in the 6300 block of Ivy Lane at around 5:10 p.m.

Police say a preliminary investigation revealed that Jenifer had exited a nearby office building and was walking towards her car when she was approached by a suspect who was armed with a handgun.

Jenifer ran across the parking lot, with the suspect following behind her and firing multiple shots, police say. At least one of the shots struck her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect, according to police, was seen fleeing the scene in a blue vehicle following the shooting. He is described as a black male with a thin build. Police say he was last seen wearing a brown shirt and khaki pants. His hair may be styled in cornrows.

The photos and video we’re chancing on so far indicates that the ceremony was plush one and ‘big men’ and stars were in full attendance.

The ceremony has reported earlier was held today Saturday at Royal Senchi.

A new video fast going viral on social media sees John Dumelo and his sweetheart stepping on the dance floor to show off their dancing skills.

Dumelo didn’t joke at all, he brought his grooves on as the crowd cheered on.

Princess Shyngle has taken to social media to flaunt her juice-less and perhaps tasteless b00bs all in the name of marketing a waist trainer.

The Ghana-based Gambia actress could be seen supporting her fallen apples with her hand in a photo she shared on her social media handle.

Unlike other celebrities like Yaa Jackson, Wendy Shay, Juliet Ibrahim, Moesha Boudong, Serwaa Amihere and co, Shyngle’s b00bs look totally different and unattractive in some way.

This isn’t a surprise since she once listed many Ghanaian male stars who could not browse her ‘tototo’ well.

Since she keeps on exploring and experimenting the elasticity of men in bed, one will definite not expect her apples to standstill.

Ghanaian actor, Chris Attoh has deleted all his photos with his new wife from his instagram page. It is not clear why the actor did this, but he did the exact when he started having issues with his previous wife, Nigerian actress, Damilola Adegbite who had moved to Ghana to start a family with him.

Chris got married to his American based fiancée, Betty Jennifer in October 2018. 13 months after he he tied the not with Betty. His marriage to Adegbite lasted for 2 years and is blessed with a son.

Not even the presence of a group of people carrying the Word on the streets could distract holiday makers.

The Easter season is meant for the remembrance and celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ by Christians who mark the period with church services but for the members of the Emmanuel Methodist Church at Obomeng, Kwahu in the Eastern Region, it means abandoning their activities.

This is because the church is located on the Obomeng High Street, which is the epicentre of the Easter celebrations on the Kwahu Ridge where the biggest of street jams take place with alcoholic beverages, indecent fashion and all the things that Christianity frowns on.

This Easter season, with the absence of the congregation, Kasapreko, producers of Alomo Bitters turned the uncompleted church building into an “Alomo Village” which housed a bar, a fufu joint, a live band arena (during the day) and a night club.

At night, a kaleidoscope of colours dominated by yellow, took over the building as revellers danced to ear-splitting music in the temporary discotheque with alcohol flowing everywhere.

It was a scene of vulgarity with some female revellers wearing skimpy and tight shorts, leggings and brassieres only, while some of their male counterparts danced around bare-chested.

Almost every single secular song that connotes and promotes obscenity was played inside the church building — with women twerking while the men stood glued behind them, twisting and turning their waists.

Obomeng High Street

Located on a street that on ordinary days is quiet but described by some as “the street of hell” during Easter, the church is forced to abandon its building and its members join other congregations until after the festivities.

Not even the presence of a group — Word on the Street — carrying biblical messages calling people to repent could distract holiday makers going in and out of the building.

The church was not the only building taken over by businesses cashing in on the season on the Obomeng High Street. Some homeowners gave out the frontage of their properties to organisations, including night clubs operations, alcoholic beverage companies among others, to do business.

Church reaction

When The Mirror newspaper contacted, the Administrator of the Nkawkaw Diocese of the Methodist Church, Very Rev. Daniel Agyei confirmed what he described as a worrying situation.

“In our chapel at Obomeng, we are unable to even attend church service because the whole premises has been taken over by traders.

“Unfortunately, things they are trading in like wine and alcoholic drinks are contrary to the occasion we are celebrating,” he said.

He said the church over the years had not insisted on taking the building from the traders because the atmosphere was not conducive for worship and the church was not interested in a confrontation.

Very Rev. Agyei, who is also the Circuit Minister of the Obo Circuit of the church, said the church would have to complete its building and fence it to ward off the traders and companies that turned it into a trading centre during the Easter festivities.

“Easter is an occasion for people to reflect on their lives and compare it to how God expects us to live according to the way Jesus Christ came to show us,” he said.

He expressed concern about the high level of debauchery that had become associated with Easter celebrations and urged young people to have time for God rather than the excessive pleasure they sought.

“Sometimes it looks as if we are rather teasing God about what He has done for us through the type of negative things we do during Easter. Poor dressing to expose ourselves and taking in so much alcohol and engaging in illicit sexual behaviour at such a time, I don’t think it is the best," he said.

The minister said such had been the influence of the secular celebrations that the Local Council of Churches was compelled to hold its conventions a week before the Easter.

“The way people are into these secular activities, if you put the crusade on the same day it will not work. So you do it a week earlier to sensitise the people to the fact that they should be careful of these things,” he said.

Brand Ambassador of Kpoo Keke Drink, Stonebwoy in a new viral video was seen forcing the Ginger and Tigernut based liqueur down the throat of patrons at the event.

This happened at a concert held in AvakpeDome, a village in Adidome — Volta Region where the BHIM Nation CEO was billed to perform as a headline artist.

His action of feeding fans with Kpoo Keke hasn’t gone down well with some sect Ghanaians. Most comments we saw indicate that it’s bad for him to be promoting an alcoholic beverage since he’s being looked upon as a role model.

A concerned Facebook user by name Benjamin Kesse wrote:

“Damn..This is so so dangerous. Just one tot of kpok3k3 alone is getting people drunk and crazy na a whole bottle. Imagine if this was Wale, the Whole Ghana will break hell loose in him. Our artists should know they are role models to millions”
