Traditional Ruler Allegedly Assaults Woman Over Palm Fruits In Abia

A traditional ruler has been accused of assaulting and brutalizing a woman in Abia state as the alleged victim seeks for justice.




The ruler of Arommiriukwu autonomous community in Uturu, Isuikwuato Local Government, His Royal Highness Eze Ikechukwu Nelson Okezie is alleged to have beaten her a indigene of the community and inflicted several injuries on her in the process following an issue related to a disputed land. .


While narrating the story to Abia Facts reporter, a member of the community said the case was about who would harvest palm nuts from a land in tussle.


The king who waded into the affair and accused the assaulted woman of stealing palm fruits from the land.






 


In response to the accusation, the woman who tried to defend herself was allegedly met with beatings from the traditional ruler.


According to reports, the traditional ruler has been severally accused of intimidation of subjects within his domain.
